Maria was born and raised in Seville, Spain. She obtained her Dental Surgery degree at Alfonso X el Sabio University, Madrid in 2005. She moved to England to work as a general dentist combined with studying a Certificate in Orthodontics by Ghnatos Foundation in Madrid in 2006.

In 2008 she completed her orthodontic training in the Advanced Program in Orthodontics for International Dentists at New York University College of Dentistry, USA. After that, she obtained her Diploma in Advance Studies in Orthodontics at Seville University in 2010. She obtained her European PhD in Orthodontics in May 2014 by University of Seville.

She moved to Newcastle in April 2012 to join the Windmill-Indental Orthodontic team ands he became a partner of the practice in 2015.

Maria is a specialist orthodontist with strong interest in new orthodontic technology such as lingual Incognito braces, Invisalign and more cosmetic orthodontic techniques.

She teaches at the Master’s Degree in Advanced Orthodontics at the European University of Madrid.

Maria is a member of the European Orthodontic Society (EOS) and World Federation of Orthodontics (WFO) and she goes to regular national and international meetings and courses to update with the latest technology and techniques to provide the highest quality to her patients.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling around the world, scuba diving, playing tennis and skiing.
