YOUR FIRST VISIT

Your first visitYour first visit is the most important one of your treatment. It gives us the opportunity to meet you and find out more about you and what you think about your teeth. You will have the opportunity to meet our team and ask any questions you might have about orthodontic treatment.

We ensure that we set aside plenty of time for your first visit so that we can discuss things in a relaxed and informal manner.

What happens on your first visit?

When you arrive, you will be introduced to your orthodontic specialist.

We will ask you some general questions on your health, how you feel about your teeth, what sort of braces you may be interested in and how you think we can help you.

We will then undertake a full examination of your face, mouth and teeth and possibly take an x-ray picture, photographs and impressions (moulds of your teeth) for study models. At this stage your orthodontist will be able to tell you what treatment you would need, and which types of braces would be suitable.

What happens next?

If you decide that you wish to proceed with the proposed treatment, we will make arrangements for any treatment required before orthodontics begins, e.g. any extractions required. We will also arrange a time and date for your braces to be placed.
